HOUSTON, TX - Cats, Andrew Lloyd Webber's worldwide musical phenomenon,
returns to Jones Hall December 25-30 as a special attraction of Broadway
in Houston. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.

With book and lyrics based on the enchanting poems of T.S. Eliot's "Old
Possum's Book of Practical Cats" and a haunting Lloyd Webber score that
includes the hit single "Memory," this feline frolic, dubbed the "Now and
Forever" musical, has become a family favorite.

In 1981 Cats opened in London's West End, where it is still running, and
after eight years became the longest running musical in the history of
British theatre. In 1982 Cats opened in New York and by 1997 had become
the longest running musical on Broadway. That run ended in 2000, but a new
generation is celebrating the musical as the show makes its way across
America.

Performances are slated Tuesday-Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 7:30
p.m. with matinees at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for the
special one-week engagement of Cats, priced from $21 to $45, may be
