If Samuel Beckett and William Shakespeare had collaborated on Hamlet, this would have been the end result. That's what Tom Stoppard speculates in this brilliantly funny, sometimes chilling masterpiece from the same playwright who brought you ARCADIA and the screenplay for Shakespeare In Love. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two college chums of Hamlet, have been summoned to Denmark to "glean what afflicts" the troubled Dane. The problem is, they don't know what they are doing, where they are going, or even what their names are. Clever word play and classic vaudeville shtick make this a treat for audiences where no two performances are ever the same.

Brandon Smith directs the production that features Foster Davis as Rosencrantz and George Brock as Guildenstern. Smith has directed such critical and box office successes as Speed The Plow, Talk Radio, and Simpatico. Davis has appeared in such shows as The Two Gentlemen of Verona and King Lear (Houston Shakespeare Festival), Kafka's Dick and The Taming of the Shrew (ATH). Brock has been seen in such plays as The Woman in Black and Someone Who'll Watch Over Me (Main Street Theatre) and Simpatico and Scapino (ATH). Also featured in the pivotal role of the Player is Manning Mpinduzi-Mott. Mott has garnered great critical acclaim for his performance in The Yellow Boat. Rounding out the company are Josh Brener, Jay Brock, Steven Burrus, hank Fields, Kit Fordyce, Peter Gehring, Alan Hall, Marie Hennebery, and Aimee McRory.
